14 weeks

Baby is the size of a lemon.

Thanksgiving 2011

Whew, am I FULL!!

Another successful Thanksgiving has come and gone.
Nothing measures the passing of time more than the growth of your children.
I can't believe how much has changed from just last year.
I'm truly in love with my life. I love my family.

This was one hell of a year to be thankful for.

Love any time we're all together.

They both decided to cuddle with me.

My whole family.

My kiddos eating pumpkin pie.

Oliver fed her some pie. Too cute!

Protective Older Brother

I have to say that some of my proudest moments are those when my kids share really sweet moments. It make me feel like our family is okay and it is a truly loving, enriched place.

Oliver has this way about him that just reeks "protector".
It's usually not Scarlett or sissy, its, "MY baby".
He's really worried about her as much as he tries to play it cool.
I've witnessed it and have reports from daycare where Scarlett starts crying for whatever reason...
No matter what Oliver is doing, he runs in to check on her, usually from a distance, to make sure someone is checking on her. There are times where he will run up and hug/kiss her, then runs back to whatever he was doing.

Daycare has even told me that from time to time, he'll run in to check on her even if she's not fussing. He'll just run into the room she's in, scope her out really quick, and then run back to what he was doing.

Talk about a PROUD momma!!

Here's some pictures of them when Scar Scar was about a month old:

Talking?

I've been thinking a lot lately about Scarlett's vocabulary of words...
And really she doesn't have too many. I haven't had time to check what Oliver's status was at 12-13 months, but I feel like it was more.

Scarlett says:

Mama
Dada
Nana (banana)
Milk
Dzia Dzia (grandpa in Polish)

At the same time, I'm a lot busier now then I was when Oliver was a baby so I'm starting to feel guilty that maybe I'm just not noticing it...?

Either way I'm not worried. I think she's got a large Polish vocabulary from being spoken to all day in Polish. I'm just excited for her to start going through the fun broken communication stage...I love the learning involved. :)

Fall Time Fun

Ugh, so mad at myself for not updating as often as usual.
Just one more week of school, then I can feel normal for a month!!

Here, I finally remembered to take my camera and take a few photos of the kids playing outside!

Don't mind the high waters. This boy is growing fast!

Puppy has to come along for the ride.

Look at my little beauty.

Ollie was showing her how he got his shoes all muddy. Quite the convo to witness.

This. Was. So. Cute.

They had so much fun together.

She was so mad that she couldn't pick up the leaf !

13 Weeks

I'm halfway done with my 14th week, but boy have I been lazy uploading 13 weeks!
So here I am:

Baby a.k.a. Squishy is the size of a peach.
Peaches are not in season, as demonstrated by visits to every grocery store to no avail...
Canned illustrates the same point? Right?

Haha. Squishy is treating me well thus far. I have one more week of classes until the quarter is done.
Once I have time again to just sit around, I can't wait to lay around and (hopefully) feel some flutters.
That is my ultimate favorite part of pregnancy...those 1st feelings that prove there's a tiny person in there. :)

Other than fatigue I'm alright. Squishy craves only salty things.
My sweet tooth has disappeared and all candy grosses me out.
That's a SAD thing for me.
But that's really not too bad. Scarlett was a monster pregnancy, so this one has been easier. :)

Toy Story 3 on Ice!!

Was this an event or what? Haha.

Little miss Scarlett stayed with Babcia i Dzia Dzia while Mommy and Daddy took Oliver to see Woody, Buzz and the gang.

We were surprised by an appearance from Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald! Oliver was really happy with that!

The show was super cute and George and I agree that the Barbie and Ken number was the best. There were so many great parts of the show, but that first meeting between the two was so well played. Overall it was great, with explosions, fire, and flying. Not bad.

P.S. I love having a husband that is just as excited as our 2 year old (Don't worry, I'm just as excited). I love doing this cheesy stuff and knowing I'm having a blast WITH my kids. :)
This Mommy isn't too cool for anything!

12 Weeks

A little late posting this, but this is from the day I turned 12 weeks. I'm 12 weeks 4 days day!
This pregnancy is moving fast. The countdown to the second trimester is beginning. Just 10 more days.

Even though I'm already pregnant, my baby fever is HIGH. Babies are being born left and right by friends and family, and NOT that I'm ready to be done with this pregnancy, I do love the labor and delivery portion. I'm very excited for May!!

12 weeks, baby is the size of a plum.

I do feel great, to add. Once I hit 8 weeks, my sickness went away and I've been feeling great.
Still losing weight, but in a healthy way. I've really reevaluated the way I've been eating (mostly stress eating) and am eating quite a bit a healthier.

Family Photos 2011

Back in October we drove down to Tri-Cities to get some 1 year photos for Scarlett done, and some family photos done. My cousin Aga is a birth, newborn, and family photographer and is amazing!

Here's her site: agaoneilphotography.com/

I think these turned out great for it being crappy weather!
She specializes in natural light so we were hoping for a bit less clouds!

I'm very glad we stayed bc the sun did come out for a little bit. :)
And I'm VERY happy with all of these photos...
of course, these are not all of them, but some of my favorites.

And you may have been able to tell that Oliver was not a happy camper.
Welp, that's what you get with a borderline OCD, controlling 2 year old!
He said he did not want pictures and cried quite a bit,
but Aga put it best when she said, that these pictures will truly capture this point in our families lives.
In 5-10 years, I'll be happy we captured our kid's true personalities.
Plus, there are plenty of years to come to get "better" pics.

Though, I think they are perfect. :)

Following Commands (Like A Puppy)

Hahaha, that sounds horrible.

For a little while now I've noticed that when I ask Scarlett to do something, she actually listens to me and follows directions. This isn't just developmentally cool, but its a light at the end of the tunnel.

I think things started to get interesting and a bit easy with Oliver once he did the same thing.

It's the beginning of mutual communication (other then if I cry, they do something, ha).

Movember

This picture below *SHOULD* be the header of the blog...

I keep saving the new template but the old one shows in the preview...
So if you don't see this pic at the top, I'm working on it.
Oh, and yes, I know Scarlett's pic is blurry. :(
I made this in between research at midnight.

Anyway, if you don't know about Movember, here's a link: http://us.movember.com/about/

It's a worldwide movement, and the first year that George actually registered.
I was a bit skeptical bc
A. He can't grow a mustache.
B. That means Thanksgiving photos will have a mustache in them.

Alas, I gave in. Men have shorter life spans then women bc they are "too" tough to see a doctor on a regular basis. I've always made George make appointments with his PCP for yearly check ups. Cancer isn't the only ailment men suffer from, there is a whole  plethora of issues that would not be a big deal if they just caught them sooner. **Enter annual visits with your MD boys!!

Women have October with Breast Cancer Awareness. Men NEED November to spread the word.
Men's health issues are just as important as women's and children's!!

So, men, grow those mustaches proudly. It's a fun way to make spreading much needed awareness cool!

P.S. Oliver wears a mustache the best in this family, in my opinion.

11 Weeks

Since I have some time, I want to write all of this pregnancy stuff down so I don't forget.

This was our first time trying for a baby so I was doing all that tracking stuff...

I tested the earliest I knew that I could get a +, and here is what I got. FAINT LINE!

Boy was I excited about that! So I bought at least 6 more tests and just kept testing.
The lines were getting darker!!!!

I knew digital tests need A LOT more of the HCG hormone to show +,
but I was confident this was it and I would get to see THE word. So I took it 2 days later.

PREGNANT!!

You may be thinking, "Why so excited about this digi test?"

Let me tell you, this being (maybe) my last pregnancy, and my first time trying,
I wanted to cover all my bases and try every kind of test!!

Obsessed Much??

YES.

And since I started taking pictures at 11 weeks with my other 2,
I figured I do the same here.

11 weeks, baby is the size of a lime!!

I also got to hear the heartbeat for the first time on Halloween. Music to my ears!!

My Water Babies

...or as Oliver would say, "I'm not a baby Momma, I'm just Ollie."

Here are my two cuties:
