My Sweet Oliver

I don't know what 3 did to my kid, but it has opened him up a tiny bit! He actually posed for me!! But OF COURSE he never does this when I have the nice expensive camera...it's always with my cell!

Hey, I'll take anything, honestly!

Here I messed around with an app I have on my phone. Oliver gave me so many great pictures that I wanted to not have to edit every single one! So I did these grids.

I'll post a few of my favorite pics later as they are full body shots and he has this SUPER adorable way of standing just like his daddy with his hands in his pockets!!

23 Weeks!!

Oh man, 23 weeks doesn't seem that far along, but it's only 4 more weeks until the 3rd trimester...which again, seems far (4 weeks = roughly 1 month) but it's not really....

This week we use the WEIGHT of the mango to compare Squishy. An average large mango weighs almost 1 pound, which means my little Squishy is now really bulking up!

I wanted to do some comparison with my other pregnancies. :) Of course I look huge now because A. I've been stretched out quite a bit in 3.5 years time!! and B. I do have a nice layer of extra fat that I did not especially with Oliver, so my stomach is going to appear larger.

I will not accept any of your "big baby" talk. I will just go with the fact that I have extra blubber. :) Haha, I really don't think I'm going to have a hefer baby.

So here I am at 23 weeks with Miss Scarlett Magnolia:

Here was the only picture I had at 23 weeks with Oliver. Look at that tiny bump. :) We were headed to Bainbridge that day!

And here I am 29 weeks with Oliver. Yeah, I'm bigger now then I was then further along! But I'm not too worried about it. I feel like with Scarlett I stretched out quite fast but then just rounded out instead of continuing to grow. So I think #3 will do about the same. It probably has a ton of room in there as my belly just popped open, and will be growing to fit the space. Instead of the uterus growing to fit the baby! I don't mind that set up. :)

Roommates

Oliver and Scarlett officially sleep in the same room!! It's been about a week now, and they've done great together.

I should have made this move MONTHS ago, but I was terrified. I had heard other people's stories of their crazy kids together and I just couldn't bear the chance of not getting full nights of sleep! When both parents work full time jobs, sleep is very important. You tend not to budge if things are working because it is very hard to function at a job on little sleep.

Now I know to trust my gut. I've got two really well behaved kids that tend to do what I want them to do pretty quickly. Of course they get out of line LOTS just like other kids, but overall I've had a lot of luck. Too bad this arrangement won't be for long since we'll be moving and the kids will be getting their own rooms!

Teethies #9, 10, 11, 12...

They all happened at the same darn time!!

And they were all molars.

OUCH!

To say the least, my little Scarlett was a wreck for 5 days straight!
The only reason we even knew it was teeth was because we took her to her 1st dentist appointment and after a thorough check up, the doc told us he could tell they would be breaking through.

Let's just say I thought it would be one, maybe 2 at the same time tops! Nope, about 2 days into the extreme whining did I notice little bits of white in all four spots!! Her dentist appointment was on December 28th, and the crying began the 30th...it lasted through the 3rd. Then once they all broke through the gums, it seemed to get better.

Poor baby, but at least I know there are only a few more teeth left!!!!

Well, until those two year molars....

22 Weeks

Squishy is the size of a spaghetti squash!

15 Months!

Scarlett's favorite food right now is strawberries!
And this is how she eats them...

Little bites out of every single one!

Here are a few more silly pictures of her personality, which is developing quite nicely!!

-This baby girl is such a sweetie. She is all smiles and an infectious laugh.
-Though when she's not feeling well, she'll let you know!
-She can still out eat anyone grown person and has to have seconds.
-Scarlett LOVES her big brother, as we really learned this past weekend:
Oliver went to spend the night at my parents house so that we could have alone time with Scarlett and they could have some one on one time with Oliver. Little Scarlett was searching the whole house in search of her brother. She kept putting her hands up in a "Where'd he go" kind of way. She'd check the bathroom, his room around his train table. She was so cute about it, but it was a bit sad only because you could see how much she missed him. I could totally go off on a tangent on parenting and child order dynamics...but I'll stop there!

Sizing My Babies!

I took the kids to their well child check ups together. This was the first time it actually worked out, Oliver's 3 year, and Scarlett's 15 month!

Being a working mom and having just an hour to accomplish errands during the day (lunch time), made this quite the experience. I had to pluck the kids out of daycare in the middle of their nap time so they were none too thrilled to see me.

Scarlett was super tired so she cried anytime anyone touched her which is VERY UNLIKE her!
Oliver was really upset at the beginning, then he did stellar, which was VERY UNLIKE him!
I felt like it was opposite day!!

Scarlett was up first as Oliver requested.
Weight: 22 lbs 10 ozs; 50th percentile
Height: 30 inches; 50th percentile.
Dr. said her growth curve is perfect as she's been at 50% since she was about 1 month.

Then Mr. Oliver.
Weight: 34 lbs; 65th percentile
Height: 40 inches; 95th percentile
Oliver hated having to get weighed at the beginning, and was okay with his eye test...
Then they took his blood pressure and checked his throat, eyes, and ears and he did not want me anywhere near him. He sat in the chair all by himself and did everything himself. SUPER proud mommy moment since Oliver is so touchy with people in his personal space. He also never talks to strangers, but he answered all of the doctor's questions! For example:  he knew that he was a boy and that mommy was a girl.

Then there were shots! Scarlett: 4, Oliver: 3!

Neither was happy, but ice cream afterwards seemed to make everything ALL better!!

21 Weeks

21 weeks. Squishy is the length of a carrot!!

This week was tough. I felt like I was 34 weeks and couldn't breathe, ugh.
I'm hoping that's not going to last! Other than that I've felt great.
I've been playing a lot of Just Dance 3 on the Wii. If you don't know what
that is, then yoiur life is severly unfulfilled, ha. Just imagine my pregnant
butt dancing really hard! I'm just thankful that I'm able to do so and hope to
continue the physical activity until the very end!!!

Oliver Turns 3!

I can't even believe it!!

I was obviously Toy Story themed! Oliver wanted to go with Cars again but after a few
days of pondering, he decided Toy Story it was. It's really cool now that he can make
these kinds of decisions for himself!!

This was my attempt at a nice casual party, without too many people there...yeah right!
We had people coming and going all day, but I know Oliver had a blast! Wish I would have taken more photos, but I had enough things to worry about!

I still can't believe that my baby is THREE!!
This was him at just a week old...

20 Weeks

HALFWAY!!

Squishy is the length of a banana.
