35 Weeks.

1cm and 50% effaced. My doc thinks I only have about 2 weeks to go. She definitely doesn't think I'll make it to my due date. I'm being skeptical bc I don't want to get my hopes up. Plus in a little less than 2 weeks its 10-10-10 and the full moon happens on the 7th. Hmmm, what's the probability I'll be part of that group? Hahaha.

Either way this incessant cramping is not confortable but at least I know it means my body is preparing for the big day!

More Words

This is more for us to remember than for you to care. Haha. Oliver says way too many words and nearly repeats everything we say, but I want to remember his growth in vocabulary. ;] Some of these might be repeats that he's been saying for awhile but it jogs my memory.

Color
Peek-A-Boo
Baby
Nose
Eyes
Up
Fell down
Book
Cereal
No more
All done
Bird
Mon [monkey, he's almost got it]
Hi and Bye
Broom
Fire
Pee pee
Milk
Off
Shirt
Boat

He's also putting so much together.

'More cereal over there mommy' then he signs please and pulls me over to the kitchen. [So smart. :]]

'Fell down, owie, all done, no more'

'No more car. Fell.' [After he chucks his Hot Wheels behind the couch...]

I'm working on getting him to SAY please! He signs it just fine, all I have to say is "what do you say?" after he asks for something. I don't know what it is about that word. Is it the structure of it that makes saying it more difficult? He says more and milk just fine even though he knows the signs. Little booger, I'll get him to say please sooner or later. At least he still does use his manners. :]

Coloring!

Oliver's new favorite thing is coloring! We finally just bought crayons after he's been using pens for awhile. Now there's an opportunity to learn colors! He can say blue but doesn't always designate the right crayon for it. It's safe to say we've got some work to do.

I'll post some pitures soon. I've honestly not touched either of my cameras in a week, which is very unusual for me. I usually at least take one picture every day or every other day!

34 Weeks

Alright I'm going to say it: I'm miserable. The humidity this last weekend nearly killed me. I HATE feeling sticky and the Northwest is not exactly known for good AC. What's worse then being stuck at home with no way of cooling off? And don't think a fan does anything. Haha. The last thing I wanted to do while sweaty is get my butt to a public place with AC.

I'm waddling, have constant migraines, am nauseous beyond belief and am developing a sore throat. I can't stand up from my desk at work without taking a detour to the bathroom [I sit and stand repeatedly through out the day ALOT], and I feel her right in my pelvis all day just wiggling all over.

This pregnancy is SO much more difficult than my first. I think I'm just ready and feel like whining. Perhaps bc George is gone ALL the time at work makes my life more physically demanding. Oliver is very intense and I don't really get many chances to just lay around when I'm alone all night. Though I have to commend how much George steps up to help me when he can. From cooking to cleaning to taking control of Oliver on his days off, I couldn't ask for a more awesome partner in life.

Hopefully having walked 3-5 miles 3-5 times a week throughout this whole pregnancy will make her come early? Either way, MOMMY'S READY SCARLETT. :]

Bows!

If you thought I was joking about Scarlett having a bow for everyday of her life, here's a taste of her collection thus far. There is more to come once the holidays season/fall really swings in. I need more fall-y colors. ;]

I'm so excited for my baby girl!

Words!

This kid is on a roll with words. Last night he said [and I'm not exaggerating] 'Love you Mommy" before bed time. George swears he's heard him say that before but I never heard it. Yesterday it was clear as day.

This morning, out of nowhere, he said 'cereal'. I was eating some and he came up to me and just said it. He's been saying it every time I ask him to [just want to make sure its not a fluke].

Aaaaaaand theeeeeeen before George left for work tonight, Oliver was playing the really annoying music he LOVES from his Elmo book, pointed at Elmo and said 'Elmo'. Our mouths both dropped [as they did when he said Love you Mommy] and we both said 'What?!!' He kept pointing and saying it, then ran over and pointed to his Tickle Me Elmo and kept saying 'Elmo'! He's so obsessed with Elmo now that he went to bed tonight with his Tickle Me Elmo. He never sleeps with him!

It's amazing how quickly kids pick things up. To think I was ever worried about his words! Not anymore. :]

Puyallup Fair 2010

Picture overload.

Oliver looks thoroughly unimpressed in every picture we took. He did have fun though, promise!! He's very observant and I think it was a lot for him to take in, so there was more thinking than laughing half the time!

We tried to fit in a lot and accomplished a lot for a day at the fair! I can't believe that next year I'll have an 11 month old and a 2 and a half year old! Oh man. Even better. :]

Floppy

Ollie loves his bunny Floppy. He was showing us his ears and eyes, etc:

33 Weeks

I am doing really good with these belly pictures this time around. I was pretty gung ho at first with my first pregnancy but didn't follow through every week towards the end. So, yay me!

I'm gonna say it. I'm SO over this. I'm ready to meet my baby girl and start my life as a mommy to two! At the beginning I said this baby could stay in til 2012 for all I cared bc I wasn't ready for 2 under 2 for a short while. Haha. Now it's totally opposite. I know how much fun it's been to see Oliver grow and learn and experience that I want to same for Scarlett. I can't wait for all those firsts and to be ever so needed again. Oliver stopped needing me at about 6 months...Mr. Independant. :]

I'm doing appointment's every 2 weeks now so I have one on Tuesday. Then one more in two weeks and THEN I start going weekly! Where has the time gone?!

20 Month Photo?

And you wonder why it's taking me so long to get a good 20 month picture?

Oliver does not know 'normal' and I wouldn't want it any other way.

September 2009. Only 8 months old.

Talking Machine

Ollie is picking up words left and right.

Some new ones recently:

Shoe
Boots
Fish
Down
Foot

I know there's more but I cannot think of them now.

He almost put 2 words together too! He wanted me to put my foot down. He kept saying 'down'. So I asked him 'what down?' He said 'foot'. Then I told him to say 'foot down'. He ended up saying foot and started to say down...but then got distracted. So close...

He does FINALLY say Mommy!!!! All the time! Yay me. I was getting a bit jealous of all the Daddy!

20 Months

My booger is 20 months old already!!! I'm a bit late on the post bc I haven't had a chance to get a good face shot of him. Since I probably won't get one for awhile [bc I'm lazy] I thought I'd show off my strange child from a few days ago.

He wanted to wear my hoodie [he looks like a monk] and his rain boots.

32 Weeks

I can hardly breathe, especially after I eat. She's rubbing her head right on my cervix. She punches my hip and kicks my ribs...at the same time. Oh the joys of the last few weeks of pregnancy.

Enjoying it nonetheless. :]

Silly Sleeper

A couple nights ago I found Oliver like this in the morning:

His face is priceless. He was so content and SO did not want to get ready for daycare.

It automatically reminded me of this pic I took when Ollie was 5 months old. Not a whole lot has changed except some weight gain and a lot more hair.

Hanging out. :]

31 Weeks

Really late post, I know. I've been exhausted. I think the iron supplements have stopped working. I'm still getting by and feeling fairly good, no complaints, just REALLY tired. Scarlett also gives me some painful kicks. Every time she's moved for the last 3 weeks it just plain hurts. Oliver was not this mean. Girls.... She's not even born yet but she's trying to claim her dominance in the family. That's my girl! :]
