Godfather Extraordinaire!

I've been lucky enough to know this kid since high school and stay friends through college.
He's an amazing person and I can't think of anyone better suited for the job.
Plus he's half Polish [score!] and he's a musician [double score!].

Oh, and can anyone say...Sweet Beard?

Baby's first trip to Snoqualmie!

Can you spot George:

Chunky Monk

Look at him playing with his toy!

Flying baby!

MIlestones, milestones...

Happy Birthday Dza Dza!!!

We have a ton more of these pictures, and for Grandpa's birthday we decided to put them on a mug for my dad.
[He's quite the coffee drinker]
He loved it, and now Grandma can't wait for her birthday!

2 month stats.

Our little Oliver is not so little anymore!
We took him for his check up yesterday morning.
As of yesterday he's 7 weeks and 2 days
Weighing in at 11 lbs 13.5 oz and
Measuring 22 inches [his knee was way bent so I think its more.]

His weight is in the 70th percentile and his height only in the 30th percentile.

Mustaches.

We had a little too much fun at Urban Outfitters today.

Being Polish means eating sausage.

Mmmm, kielbasa!
Yes Oliver is only 7 weeks old today but hey what's a bite of sausage, right*?

*Don't worry he didn't really eat any....can't wait though!!!

Bullying Part II

We went from playing nice...

...to this:

Valentine's Day...a little late.

Grandma and Grandpa were nice enough to watch Mr. Oliver for 8 whole hours on V-Day so Mommy and Daddy could go to dinner and a movie! We missed him terribly!

We have a bully on our hands.

I created one heck of a mean kid. Ha!
We went to visit Terah and Elijah for dinner and Mr. Oliver decided to punch Elijah repeatedly in the face. He even ripped out his binky! How mean! Elijah is only 3 weeks old! That's almost half of Oliver's age.

Okay, okay...this is mainly due to the fact that Oliver cannot control his limbs and I put him pretty darn close to Elijah. Bad combo! But it got me thinking about the playground years. What is the probability that Oliver will be the playground bully, pushing kids faces in the sand and stealing their pb&js?

Oh geez. The things I have to look forward to...

Superman!

Dun dun dun....

We caught a smile!!

I thought it would be harder, but George hit the jackpot this morning!

Naked Bubba!

He was too cute after his bath!

Bathrobe Fun

Thank you Uncle Pat!

Oliver is finally kinda big enough to fit! The little booties are the best part!

Chunky legs!

I was playing with Oliver today in his wonderful Little Einstein Activity Gym, tummy time is too much fun! Anyway, I laid his stuffed bunny, Floppy next too him and I almost fainted. Mr. Oliver is SO big. In a short 5 and a half weeks by child has become a giant!

This is him at 7 days old:
[Tiny chicken legs!]

This is him today at 5 weeks 3 days:
[Check out how his legs have plumped up!]

Quick history on Floppy.
We made him at Build A Bear for Oliver a few weeks before he was born.
We hope Oliver will love him and carry him around everywhere when he's older!

He's a growing boy.

We have finally retired his newborn sized clothing.
I cannot believe that he finally fully fits in 0-3 month clothing.
I don't want him to get big!!!!

Rawr!

In honor of Oliver's dinosaur nursery theme:

We found these at Gymboree and fell in love!
We can never pass up anything dinosaur!

Look who's got a new friend!

Now that Oliver is getting bigger he can chill out with the animals on his blanket!

Sleep? What's that?

Our child does not understand the concept of sleeping...Ever.
The last 3 days have been quite the experience with an infant who refuses to sleep.
The funny thing is, you know he's exhausted, but he gets to the point that he's too tired to fall asleep so he cries, which makes him more tired and more cranky and more unable to fall asleep. Then when he's starting to close those beautiful baby blues, he gets the hiccups...

The only way to get him to sleep nowadays is to take him to Green Lake. The car ride, and consequent stroller ride gets him sleeping for at least 3 hours!

Oh and our other secret weapon....GRANDMA!
She's a lifesaver.
I don't know why it works, but I'm not gonna question a good thing while it's working!

Experimenting with the Baby Bjorn.

Oh Cruel World!

Welcome to the world of burping Mr. Oliver.

Daddy!

Our little family.

I can't believe sometimes [okay, A LOT, in the last month] that I have my own family.

Oliver is 1 month old!

Beautiful boy!

This will be the face I see a lot in his teenage years...

Before I forget!

Oliver has a new friend!
Elijah was born on January 23rd at 6:38 a.m.
He was 7 lbs 6 oz and had a head full of hair!
He is my friend Terah's son. We went to high school together and rekindled our friendship when we both found out we were expecting around the same time.
It's funny bc our due dates were 20 days apart and the boys were born 20 days apart.
Terah and I both went 1 week overdue!

Here are some pictures from our baby date:
[They're not the best, but getting infants to pose isn't easy]

Also at the baby date was Kaela and her little boy Noah.
He was born on August 1st!
He's 6 months old now!
How time flies.
