He Said What???

Yup, We're starting to go through the whole,"Kids Say The Darnest Things" phase.

While running up and down the hallways with my bra in hand:
Oliver: "Yours boobs, your boobs, your boobs!"

While biting the strap of my bra:
Oliver: "Momma, I eat yo' boobs!"

When I came home from the gym:
Oliver: "Momma, you so hot!"

Watching Daddy drink something out of a mug:
Oliver: "Ollie want coffee!"
(He's obsessed with coffee, if its in a mug, its coffee to him.)

After farting really loud:
Oliver: "I farted!!!"
"Scuse me!"

10 Months

We're almost to ONE!

She is such an adventurous girl and is less scared of things each day.
She can out climb and out eat anyone, I promise!!
She has such an infectious smile and has been so good natured.
Her laughs are even more contagious!
She sleeps through the night.
She babbles constantly.
And she's taking steps.

All in all, she is the most pleasant baby I've known.
She is zen...unless her diaper is full or her tummy is empty.

We LOVE her!

Going to the Park!!

I've never denied that my Oliver was a daredevil!

We have two of these "climby things" near us and this is the smaller one. He really liked climbing up on this (only to that seat, NO higher!) so the bigger one was no problem. I'll have to get pictures of the bigger one. Yikes!!

Scarlett is never scared to join in on the fun!

Her new obsession: SLIDES!

If Oliver does it, Scarlett wants to try.

Yeah, they were both completely off the ground at the same time.
These kids keep getting more fun. They're exhausting now that Scarlett is catching up to Oliver, but their smiles make everything okay. I love them. :)

2 Steps?!

My sweet girl took 2 unassisted steps yesterday!!

Here are some random cell phone pictures:

Mid cough/yawn.

I managed a hair clip!! Can't wait for pigtails.

RAWR! I can climb!!!

Catch Up!!

I've had so many requests to update the blog, so here I am, at your service!!
It's been a bust couple of weeks with so much going on that I just have not had the energy to come on here and go through the upload process!

Earlier this week my DSLR got a whole lot of water spilled all over it, so I have yet to try to work it...
I'm going to attempt to put it all together and take pictures today, so wish us luck pleeease!

Oh and update on Scarlett:
I had said that I thought by my birthday (yesterday) she would be taking steps. I must say that did NOT happen. Over the last 2 weeks she diverted from her solid attempts at taking steps to climbing on EVERTHING. Even daycare had to adjust their playrooms to be weary of her incessant climbing! Though on Thursday (the day BEFORE my birthday") she did successfully take ONE step all by herself!!!

She can also go from sitting to standing without any assistance from us or objects. She can just stand up using just the strength of her legs. So cool to watch my baby grow!!

Takes My Breath Away.

I think my baby girl is amazingly gorgeous. Her eyes are just SO pretty!

I love her face, but I HATE that stupid trash that blew into the frame. :(

Someone Got Muddy!

Oliver decided to chase some ducks. Let'sjust say it was really muddy close to the water!!

Full sprint ahead.

He was really upset about getting dirty.

Then he became okay with it!!!

At The Park!

Lake Meridian Park is so much fun. It's been nice and warm so we've been taking the kids outside no matter how exhausted I am after work! (I tend to just want to crawl in bed!) Here are some pictures from a few days ago.

She's So Excited!

Look at my little stander!! She is such a happy little baby!!

Sibling Pictures!!!

I'm so incredibly happy about these pictures!
I think the lighting could be better, and they could be dressed better, and well...the list goes on! Hahah.
BUT..
At least they are together and both of their faces are straight toward the camera!

Oliver is so crazy that this never happens, so I had to con him into not moving the minute he saw me get the camera! I told him he could keep watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and I was ONLY going to take a picture of Scarlett. He obliged but of course wasn't looking. I'm okay with it. :)

Oh and The last pic I finally got Scarlett to drop the slinky that she would not stop chewing on!!!

Tri Cities

We road tripped to Tri Cities last weekend to attend the kid's cousin's 3rd birthday. It was somewhat organized chaos and it was so much fun!! The kids(even Scarlett) was having a great time!! Here are some pictures ftom the gym birthday!

Foam pit!

Ollie and Isla in the pit!!

Going down the big car ramp!

Here's the beginning of the ramp. Oliver was addicted!

The birthday girl, Maja, with her daddy!

Scarlett was having plenty of fun!!

At the table eating cake!

My Little Climber

Welp, here's proff that my baby girl climbs EVERYTHING!! All the time. There's not stopping her. Let's just say it's made morning without daddy a little bit harder!

Can you tell that after a long day at work I just don't care what the kids are weraing!!!

Bathtime is never boring at the Buchanan house!!

There's that face she's been making recently. She's super happy!!

Almost walking!!!

Rattlesnake Lake

Trying to be out in the sun every chance we get this summer! My mom told me about Rattlesnake Lake on Friday and I love how close to the city it is. It's just Exit 32 off I-90, about 40 minutes from Seattle. It was gorgeous!!! And the beach we were on was super kids friendly as the water was very shallow pretty far in so I didn't have to worry so much about Oliver. We want to come back without the kids, (and when they're older) and hike up to Rattlesnake Ridge. Anyway here are some pictures from the day:

Oliver kept saying, "I want to climb the mountain! It's too high so no climbing!"

He really attemped to doggie paddle, though we was just basically crawling. :)

So excited about this family picture!

Scarlett has been making this cheese face lately!

Cutest kid ever!!!!

I'm sure Oliver will want to kill me for writing down this story but I never want to forget it!! There were Honey Buckets at the lake (so nice) but Oliver was having a hard time going there. So all day he peed either in the lake or in the bushes. Yeah, he was THAT kid. But I'm very proud of him nonetheless because he keeps up with his potty training no matter where he is. So what that my kid drops his swim trunks in the lake and pees? Hahaha.

Anyway...he finally reached a point that he had to poop. He took turns with everyone going to the Honey Bucket, hiding in the bushes, etc. I just don't think he felt comfortable and I don't blame him. I thought he might be able to hold it until we got home in the afternoon as he refuses to poop his pants (we are blessed). He finally couldn't hold it anymore so he ran to me holding his butt (I was in the shallow end of the lake and by that time the place was full of families and kids). I told him to just take his trunks down and poop in the lake. Poor kid really couldn't hold it so he did just that! Yup, around all the swimmers.

I yelled to my sister to get the wipes, so I cleaned him up, fished out the poop (thankfully it stayed whole) and everything was fine! Haha, that was a total Super Mom moment. And no one seemed to notice.

My PSA: Kids, understand that this is parenting before you decide you want to have kids!!!
