My Little Angel
I miss when Ollie was more easily photographed. He moves too much and too quickly now, so you are left with a lot of Scarlett pictures. :]

CHEESE!
I taught Oliver to say cheese before pictures. Now if he's in the mood, its really hard to stop taking pictures. He'll keep saying cheese and posing. If I turn the camera off he'll whine and start saying 'more'. Haha.
I was debating whether or not to post this picture because it is so bad its hilarious. Haha. This is a close up of him saying Cheese!

More posing and saying cheese:

Test Driving
Now that the Babies R Us opened its new joint store with Toys R Us in Southcenter, we're in trouble everytime we go to pick up anything baby related.
Oliver found the Power Wheels... This might be an appropriate Christmas gift come 2011, especially if we have that house we really want, with all the extra space we're in dire need of...

Painting for Grandma
November 2nd was Babcia's birthday so the kiddos did some painting.
Okay it was mostly Oliver. Haha. Scarlett did contribute her foot print as did Oliver after he did his initial painting. I wish I had a photo of the final painting to show but its on my mom's camera. I will post it once its downloaded because it's SUPER cute.
Ollie had fun though. :]

Pretty Lady
Whole Sentences??
Oliver said to me yesterday: "There's a ball outside."
I didn't believe it and thought I was just filling in the blanks but I checked with George. He heard the same thing as me! And he kept saying it until we got up and saw the ball that was outside. ;]
He also faux counted. Hahaha. Funniest thing to hear in the world. I told him to jump off of his bike so I can take a picture and he started 'counting'. The one and two was iffy to understand but the he said 'free' for three and he'd jump. He kept doing in over and over. So silly.

Sleep
We're definitely getting a lot. I'm so blessed right now to have a baby that likes to sleep at night.
She averages 4-5 hour blocks and has pulled a 6 hour stretch!! Unfortunately for me I have to get up more often to pump. Gotta have milk once I go to work!
She also very rarely cries. She likes to wimper and whine more than anything. Only if I've neglected her for too long will she flat out cry. Just so you know I'm not a horrible parent...I've gotta juggle Oliver too, so sometimes Miss Scarlett gets impatient. But again, very rarely does she get that impatient. I like her. :]
Oliver started sleeping 8-10+ hours at 4 weeks. I don't knoe if we'll luck out that early with Scarlett, but she's definitely on her way.

A Kiss
Yeah, Oliver is warming up to Scarlett! This was taken last week. Oliver's gone through quite the whirlwind of behaviors.

He was very standoffish the first few days. Then he started touching her and petting her. Then he went through a few days where he completely avoided and ignored me and only wanted Daddy. He would cry over everything and hit and scratch and scream. Even his daycare commented on how much he had changed after Scarlett was born. I cried every day partly because I felt bad that I was losing patience with him and partly because you could tell in his eyes how lost he was. He didn't deserve me yelling at him or getting angry with him. His whole world had been turned upside down and he was being forced to accept it. I can't imagine how weird that must be for a not even 2 year old. I have to remind myself everyday that he really is still a baby himself.
"He's not even 2..."
I whisper that phrase to myself now anytime he acts up. It grounds me and forces me to realize that I cannot expect him to be 10, he's not even 2!
I'm proud to say though, that he has been so good all week! No tantrums or excessive crying. Thank goodness. He even kissed her foot today. Small steps people, small steps!
